Which Flagship phone would YOU buy?

Which Flagship phone would YOU buy?

RascalRibs

None, waste of money. I always buy phones that were released at least a couple of years ago. Swappa is a great place to find older model phones in brand new condition.

YooniverseGaming

Could I ask the reasoning behind your decision?

RascalRibs

I'd rather get a new phone for 1/3 the price. No new phone has ever included a feature that I simply can't live without.

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your input! If I may, what are your thoughts on the ROG phone?

Gpmatos

I was going to buy it but reallisticly It would be for the aesthitcs (flex) just bcs I don't game on mobile phone that much, I ended up buying a oneplus nord 2

YooniverseGaming

Do you think that the customisation of an Android phone is greater than the security of the iPhone?

Gpmatos

Now a days, security is much more a user thing than mobile phone, if you are careful it's the same. Ive grown to like the iPhone OS maybe more than Android, bcs I'm not really a android power user, the only really different thing is the apk unlock availability

dogwater-digital

Well, not that I WOULD, since I already have it, but the Samsung Galaxy S 21. Good stuff.

YooniverseGaming

Thoughts on why you wouldn't want an iPhone?

dogwater-digital

I had the iphone 5c and it wasn't as fun as the android I had before. The versatility with android is why I chose it over iphone.

YooniverseGaming

A follow-up question. What do you use this added versatility for? Like security? Applications that you download?

dogwater-digital

Yeah, I found that android was more fun in how much content you can download as opposed to iphone which felt like I couldn't really do anything unless it was jailbroken. It's like, I might as well get an android rather than probably ruining my phone from the inside. I can't say much now since I haven't had an iphone since like 2013? But when I made the switch, I had to make the switch back, and it was better for me.

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your input!

dogwater-digital

Yup!

Gpmatos

When I had an iPhone I had 6s and I see what you mean by the lack of versatility so I bought an android tablet it worked pretty great

kaida_notadude

None, they're a waste of money. My galaxy A41 is already a bit overkill for me.

Super-Noodles

I’m going to wait a few years and see if folding phones become more common and competition sorts out some more of the kinks.

YooniverseGaming

Thoughts on why you wouldn't want an iPhone?

Super-Noodles

I have one at the moment, I’ve gone back and forth. I wouldn’t mind a new one once they do something new. So I’m going to wait until they try the folding thing after Samsung has done the innovating and testing for a few years.

YooniverseGaming

Got it. Thanks for your input!

MonkeyTesticleJuice

Samsung Galaxy S 21, but I don't buy flagships.

YooniverseGaming

Thoughts on why you wouldn't want an iPhone?

MonkeyTesticleJuice

I like the customization and freedom you have on Android and I don't like Apple as a company.

YooniverseGaming

What customisations of Androids do you utilize on your android devices?

MonkeyTesticleJuice

Every couple of month I change up the look of my phone. I'll change app placements, widget placements, change the OS Launcher to give my phone a makeover. I also have piracy apps so I don't have to pay shitty companies to watch shows. And emulators for NES, SNES, Sega, GBA, PSP, PS1, DS, 3DS are there so I don't have to play shitty predatory mobile games.

YooniverseGaming

Is the customisation of an Android device worth it in exchange of iPhone's security?

MonkeyTesticleJuice

I've not had any problem with Samsung's security. Security risks happen with any company, Apple included. And Samsung's security is not bad at all, just got to know what you're doing. I use Puffin Browser which has great uBlock Origin support so dangerous popups and ads aren't ever a thing, the piracy apps and emulators I use are well known and established so no to little threat to my info. And I use a VPN for online security so no issues.

YooniverseGaming

Thanks! I'm almost decided to go with the S21!!

lemons_of_doubt

Probably the newest one-plus. I love the oneplus-7-pro. my current phone. Edit: The 9-pro looks shiny but I don't feel the need to upgrade right now.

YooniverseGaming

Thoughts on why you wouldn't want an iPhone?

lemons_of_doubt

I don't like the closed garden app store. There work to stop 3rd party repairs, And the lack of variety in hardware. Also, their phones just feel thick and bulky to me. the 7-pro is like an oval pearl in my hand with its beautiful screen that is the whole front of the device.

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your input! What're your thoughts on the ROG phone?

lemons_of_doubt

I have seen videos talking about them. Mobile gaming can be fun it gets a bad name from all the crap that is dumped into the app store but there are some real gems in there too. Have played games on my phone but I always used a ps controller, not the touch screen. I love the emulators for the old consoles. spent a few long train rides playing old games from my childhood. The specs of that phone look impressive. I think it looks like a good phone.

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your inputs!!

np

nullsleeps

The Galaxy S21 Ultra 512GB Phantom Black Variant

YooniverseGaming

Thoughts on why you wouldn't want an iPhone?

nullsleeps

I am more of an android fan rather than an apple fan I have my own freedom on my android device Like installing custom roms, rooting my phone, etc meanwhile on an iphone, you are restricted to the apple IOS, and if u jailbreak the phone the problems are endless so thats why I'd rather own an android device rather than an IPhone

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your inputs! What're your thoughts on the ROG phone?

nullsleeps

honestly the ROG phone is quite an interesting device but well, I would say its still a beta device it has its instabilities not sure if I would buy one now but maybe in the future

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your inputs!!

nullsleeps

your welcome!

I like Apple products so iPhone, I don’t like them for the status, I never show off my tech or say I bought the new iPhone because it’s the new iPhone or the new iMac because it’s the new iMac, I like the design, I like the software, I get the damn thing, but it’s also the fact that I am a software developer and like working on an m1 mac, before that I used Hackintosh and Linux, and also I make music and I like apple’s software and if I have an idea on the road I will just open GarageBand on the iPhone and make a little demo I can use later, or that I can work on anything from my iPhone and continue on my mac, or the fact that I can leave the phone when working and if I need to call someone I can do it from my computer, or I can copy paste stuff across the devices, I know it’s a long answer I just didn’t want someone to come at me with the “why do you buy iPhones?” As if it matters what logo your tech has on the back of it, if it makes you happy use it and it doesn’t matter who you bought it from

YooniverseGaming

I understand, thanks for your input. Could I also ask your inputs on if and when you would buy an android flagship?

gekonto

I did, two years ago, a galaxy, I hated the shit out of that thing and bought the iPhone 12 as it came out, I’m still using it, I don’t buy the newest right as it comes out, I kept the iPhone 5s up to 2019 because it worked greatly, and wanted to give up that android for it again if it still was supported by Apple

YooniverseGaming

If I were to ask you, what would you buy? 12 pro or 13 pro? Budget is a possible issue.

gekonto

The 13 pro, if I had the budget for it right now, I could return my 12 and get the 13 pro for cheaper, I just don’t care enough, it works fine, it gets the job done, so I don’t really care

YooniverseGaming

Thanks for your input!

gekonto

The pleasure’s all mine

tryinghard96

I have my eyes on one plus 9 Pro. Great specs. [Android](https://www.technbrains.com/) 11, snapdragon 888, wireless charging and much more.
